Unmoderated postings on a moderated site
Squishdot Posted by on Thursday December 02, 09:50PM, 1999
from the is-this-already-there dept.
I am not certain whether this is present already in the most recent form of Squishdot; but I found that a simple, single page addition to Squishdot can make admin users life easier. It is a waste of time for an admin posting a message to have to review it. The admin already knows it is worthwhile.

Create a file 'unmoderatedPosting' and give it these contents...

Then use Zope's security measures and UserFolders to control who can access the page. It makes it very easy for the site administrator to add postings without removing the moderation from externally supplied postings.

please don't post DTML directly into the comments -Ed.

What does the "these contents..." refer to in your post? Or perhaps you can elaborate a little bit on how you did this.

Thanks,
John
