Actually, I asked a couple of months a go if I could use his design (the one on http://www.technocrat.net). He kindly replyed saying that he would be OK with it, if the initial designer said it was OK, which he did. I can't seem to remember that persons name or e-mail address, but if you like the layout of technocrat.net you could try to mail Bruce asking to use that layout.

It would be nice to provide a mechanism for designers to provide different "looks." If you can spell out the elements necessary, I can attempt one.

Actually, a long time ago, I started prototyping (playing around :^)) a new "skin" for Squishdot... see this.
This uses less graphics (for faster downloads) and a box that explains all about the site and the software -- the idea being that if the viewer presses the close link, a cookie is stored so that subsequent access to the main page will no longer show that explanatory box...
I haven't done much about this since then, but if you like this "theme" and are interested in developing this further to extend them to other pages inside Squishdot and really make it functional, just send me a message...

I've been playing around with Squishdot site designs for a couple of months now. Aside from the graphics stolen from the GNOME desktop :) I like this design. What do you think?

U can check the DSDM France site in order to check what we've done using heavy graphic design.
This site is not Squishdot only, but it is an example of customization...
